How to get better advertising results & find quality help!

Is your company continuing to spend advertising dollars that aren’t working?

Are you still searching for quality help?

This is very common. A way to increase your chances of obtaining results is to advertise several places at once. It takes a company name or advertisement to be seen over and over again to drill this in individuals minds. Why? Everyone is busy and they take what they need from one area – web-site, etc and move on… if they don’t find what they are looking for or aren’t sure – a reminder would be to hear or see your name again, and again and again.

So, here are other forms of advertising and getting the word out that I have thought of…

Advertise with us! Career Mountaineer. (obviously). ha. We specialize in Career & Educational Display ads and were on-line with great rates!

But, also utilize…

Friends, Relatives, Co-Workers – let them know you are looking for staff.

Web-sites – such as Simply Hired (on our site), WesternSlopeHelpWanted.com, Monster, Yahoo and various job boards.

Recruiters/Staffing Agencies – they have applicants waiting for a great opportunity and could save you money overall if they have the right fit.

Workforce Centers – Go to your local workforce center – they always have many resources and applicants that are looking for work.

Radio – Most people listen to the radio and I have to say many companies in Colorado seem to like advertising on the radio as well.

Local Newspapers – If it is a Classified ad – I’d suggest Bolding some text to make YOURS stand out.

When you advertise – make it enticing! Mention the hours (if they are good), benefits, salary and any other perks you can think of and even add! After all, you want to find and keep good help & continue to grow and manage the company.

DON’T GIVE UP! Finding the right candidate will take time. Don’t expect to get immediate results from one ad – no matter where you advertise – it make be unlikely.

We’ve had customers see results right away and we have some that advertise almost every issue and have gotten more applicants than years before. It really is a matter of chance and finding the right person at the right time. But, the suggestions above will help you increase your chances of finding help ASAP!

GOOD Luck and please contact us with any questions or to place an ad in our next edition!

Distribution

We now have our distribution list printed for viewing! Go to our media kit page and scroll down and there will be a link to places AND locations where we now distribute to.

This list is continually being worked on as well. There are probably many others places we are at, but we make sure that the distribution is going well enough to continue before making them an official place of distribution a majority of the time.

Would you like to see more distributed in a specific area? Whether you are a customer, potential customer or job hunter – PLEASE let us know. We will search for you and add locations as needed.

So…. our BLOG question is….

Where would you like to see our newspaper at??? Please let us know a city or a specific area of business.

We would appreciate your responses/comments and are awaiting your replies!

And in your travels… be sure to pick up an issue at any of the locations we have listed as well.

Climb to the top!

Climb to the TOP – think like a 5 year old!

We are building a home (or attempting to) and with the winter season, it definitely has seen its’ share of challenges. We’ve got a big mountain of gravel in front of garage – most of the time it has been a frozen pile that my 5 year old would climb and slide down in the snow. It’s thawed now and she still climbs to the top and this time she brought her small plastic chair and sat right at the top!

My husband laughed and said “to have a mind like a 5 year old”. I, of course, being a concerned, worried mom told her to “be careful so it don’t tip over!”

A few days later I got to thinking… she reached the top – is she really going to let herself tip over? No, of course not!!! She is my daughter after all.

Obviously you may kinda see my point…

Climb High…
Reach High…
Seek a new Challenge (as a 5 year old would)!

And yes…. that involves NO FEAR!

We are glad you visited our blog!  I’m fairly new to blogging and didn’t give it much thought about creating one for Career Mountaineer until I re-designed our web-site.   I also tend to have sooo many thoughts, ideas, etc. daily on this newspaper I figured it would be a good place to vent, receive comments and check back on my old notes and thoughts as well!
